Yaaaaay the internet is finally back on and I feel connected to the world again! I've been so deprived. o_O So anyway, I've been inspired by Linda (Hi Leenda!) to start blogging again... and I think I shall resume this madness by blogging about my current obsessions:
Prison Break! Heroes! Veronica Mars!
Waaah so many tv shows, so much to love and obsess over! :)
First up... Prison Break!
Words cannot express how much I love this show right now. I basically went through the whole of last week SLEEP DEPRIVED because I was trying to watch as much as possible in the shortest possible span of time.
Storyline: The premise is interesting - Little brother Michael (hot!) 'breaks' into prison to break his older brother Lincoln (not as hot as little bro but still considerably hot) out of prison... government conspiracies... intriguing prison culture... a protagonist as smart as he is hot (I cannot emphasise this enough)... sweet forbidden romance between doctor and inmate... the conflict that rages within an essentially good man as he has to make sacrifices and wrong some people in the pursuit of his brother's freedom... I LOVE THIS SHOW!
Eye candy:
Gaze upon the HOTNESS that is Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller)! You could drown in those eyes. Really.
Random fact: He was in Mariah Carey's video for "We Belong Together". We know who's prettier. Hee ^^
Romance: Michael and Sara... After all they've been through, if they don't end up together at the end of the last season of this show (whenever that is), I will spew blood.
Next up... Heroes!
This is the show to watch. 'Nuff said.
Storyline: Not the standard superhero with cape type story! This show is about ordinary people who discover that they have extraordinary abilities... and different characters react and adapt to these abilities in different ways. Creepy antagonist Sylar, with his delusions of grandeur and psychotic ambitions to reach his 'evolutionary peak', decides to go on a murdering spree as he attempts to add more brains (eew!) to his already extensive collection... some try to fight back and their lives intertwine!
Eye candy:
Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimilglia)! That poor thing has so much crap going on in his life right now (SYLAR!!! 0_O)... I just wanna give him a hug. And I hope he doesn't lose all that pretty hair...
Romance:
There's not much romance in the show... not much that I care about anyway. But Hiro.... Hiro is LOVE! He's adorable and innocent and he spews random Japanese words all over the place... his English is hilarious and he's the only comic relief in this oh-so-tense-I'm-gonna-pee-in-my-pants show. LOVE!
Last but not least, Veronica Mars!
It's only coming back in May. Boohoooooo...
Storyline: The life and times of Veronica Mars, private investigator extraordinaire. I love this show - the mysteries are cool, but the relationships are better. I love the show's focus on developing/highlighting the relationships in this show - Veronica and her dad, Veronica and the love of her life (no one but Logan!).
Eye candy:
Wheeee Logan! Possibly one of my favourite male tv characters of all time. Not the conventional good-looking type, but the way he EMOTES... you just feel for him. I read on a blog somewhere, someone was saying "no one will love me like Logan loves Veronica". Sad, yes, but quite possibly true. His dedication to her is like no other. They need to get back together... NOW!
Romance:
My favourite TV couple, bar none. In Logan's own words... their love is EPIC. Spanning years and continents, lives ruined, bloodshed...... they belong together!!!
Oooh I'm tired. This is such a long post! Hope you (whoever you are) haven't been bored to tears reading this. Whatever the case, it must be painfully obvious that I'm a TRUE BLUE COUCH POTATO!
