Lalala, I just turned 24. The birthday was nice, full of unexpected surprises (okay I guess all surprises are unexpected), very nice presents, yummy Italian food, big helpings of caramel cheese cake, and many firsts.
First time working on a birthday. First time receiving flowers. First time being surprised in the middle of a serious conversation. First time having something specially delivered to me.
Lots of firsts. :) All of them good, all of them happy. Well, except for the working on a birthday part. But I guess the rest wouldn't have happened if I hadn't worked on my birthday, so it's all good!
Maybe I should resolve to work on all my birthdays. :)
I realise that I am blessed with a lot of really great people in my life. I realise that I have been blessed with an amazing amount of love all these years. I have so many people around me who love me. People who forgive my shortcomings, many as they are. People who bring out the best in me. People who are always affirming, supportive and warm. People who actually love me more than I deserve. In every place I've journeyed to, in every important phase of my life (high school, uni, work), I've met amazing individuals. I have never felt alone.
A big thank you to all of you, though you may never read this.
I feel so loved! Heehee :) It's been a very happy birthday... and a great start to a promising year ahead.
