Mmm I love long holidays!
My family, being the holiday-loving-family that it is, decided to go on our last family holiday of 2007 to the sun-soaked Island of Langkawi!
The last time I visited Langkawi was when I was 7 or 8, so you can imagine how much it has changed. Among other things, we:
* Sat on cable cars
* Walked on a suspension bridge
* Visited a bat cave where there were thousands of bats and lots of guano (thankfully none on me)
* Sailed via boat under a formerly crocodile-infested cave
* Went to a fish farm
* Watched eagles getting fed (which is very ecologically unhealthy for the eagles, who have lost their natural ability to hunt)
* Ate at The Loaf (opened by Mahathir and some Japanese dude)
* Saw monkeys and baby monkeys and monkeys attacking humans for food. GANAS!
* Swam in the sea
* Swam in the "Lake of the Pregnant Maiden"
* Swam in the swimming pool :p
* Went Island hopping
* Took a lot of speed boat rides, SO NICE
* Went to the Mahsuri Mausoleum (have always remembered the tragic story of her spilling white blood coz she was innocent and falsely-accused)
* Got browner and browner under the glaring sun
Yup, that's pretty much it. I'll let the pictures do the talking!
What do you do when your parents are sleeping and you're not supposed to make any noise? You make silly faces and act Lala in front of the camera, of course!
Way above sea level. Such a pretty view.
That's all folks. Christmas tomorrow! :)
