Thank God
What a weekend I had. Long story short, we were enroute to our Young Adults Fellowship camp, of which I was part of the organising committee. On the way down from Genting, there's this really dangerous and steep turn where road signs warn you to slow down and switch to a lower gear... we were running late, and my friend was driving a bit too fast...
She lost control of the car and it started skidding to the left... she couldn't break (and we were dangerously close to the side and dangerously close to plunging down the ravine)... and so she swerved right and crashed into the concrete divider instead, causing the car to turn 180 degrees.
Talk about freaking scary. I don't remember whether I was saying anything/screaming; I just remember the scary feeling of total loss of control... and I remember thinking "WHY OH WHY is the car not STOPPING?!?!!?"
But really, truly, Thank God. So much worse could have happened, and we survived completely intact - friend with a slightly twisted wrist and me with a slightly sore neck. Thank God that there were no cars behind us, thank God that my friend had the presence of mind to swerve right and crash us to a stop, thank God that no one was hurt.
The camp was also an exercise in faith, where I experienced the feeling of being out of my comfort zone, after I haven't experienced it in such a long time. All I can say is, "many are the plans in a man's heart, but God's purpose will prevail". :) God is good!
Thank God for old friends...
And new friends...

And family...

And all that I hold dear.

Whoever you are, if you're reading this - thank God for you!
