Slices of Life
I don't know why I've been feeling so compelled to blog lately. And here I am, yet again, blogging!
Dearest brother of mine has started school again, and is now in Form 4. We have this nice little daily routine where I rant and complain about my day at work, and he does the same about his day in school.
Mid-way through our conversation:
Best-sister-in-the-world: So what did you study in Biology today?
Little-brother-who-is-spoilt-silly: We're learning about cells, you know, nuclei, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, chloroplasts, yadda yadda yadda [insert lots of biology gibberish here]...... bulgogi......
*I proceed to laugh my head off*
Why, you ask? Sounds like a part of a cell, no???
Bulgogi, for those uninitiated in the splendours of Korean Food, is a yummy grilled beef dish. See picture:
OBVIOUSLY NOT PART OF CELL
What was my brother actually intending to say???
He was talking about the Golgi Apparatus lah, which, by Dartmouth College's definition is: "a part of the membrane system within the cell that works closely with the endoplasmic reticulum. The Golgi Apparatus modifies proteins and brings them to the cell surface where they can be secreted. Secretions include hormones, enzymes, antibodies and other molecules."

ALIEN LIFE FORM
My blog is educational and not just full of mindless ramblings. Seriously.
Ahaha, my brother is so cute.
We're very similar that way, in that we are quite preoccupied with all things FOOD. What to do, deprived at home mah.
In other news, American Idol has started!
My whole family watches with varying degrees of interest.
Me: almost obsessed, picking favourites, would vote if voting was possible
Bro: very interested, picking favourites who usually are HOT girls
Mummy: interested and comments on singers occasionally
Daddy: interest slightly piqued but more interested in airing his comments over the sound of their singing and thus disturbing our viewing experience.
Haha.
Reality TV, our only past-time to tide us over this barren desert of tv shows due to the writer's strike. I support the writers! Give them more money, stupid network people, and give us back our shows, thank you very much. :)
Say hi to the newest additions to my ever-expanding-softtoy-empire:

So cute horr?!?!
Toodles. ^^
