Eviscerated, I am
Recently I watched an episode from a show called The L Word... where one of the characters, heart-broken, wrote a poem that struck a chord with me. Excerpt:
For you, my heart...
Ripped from my chest
Eviscerated, I am.
Such powerful words, all emotions laid bare, words of one who has been completely stripped of everything. Lovely, morbid, but lovely, and painful and painfully apt.
Eviscerated, I am.
Those words are gonna be haunting me for a while. Can't explain why... they just will be. Let's just hope that I will never be in such a situation to feel the magnitude of those words.
I'm in an emo mood.
Let's talk about emo songs.
One Republic - Stop and Stare
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be
Oh stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
You'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Can you see what I see?
Augustana - Boston
In the light of the sun, is there anyone?
Oh it has begun
Oh dear you look so lost,
Eyes are red and tears are shed
This world you must've crossed
You said...
You don't know me, you don't even care
You don't know me, you don't wear my chains
Essential yet appealed
Carry all your thoughts across an open field
When flowers gaze at you
They're not the only ones who cry
When they see you
Remioromen - Konayuki
This song, though I'll never be able to catch the full gist of it, induces tears.
I wanted us to have rapport but I was the only one who touched its surface
The only thing that was holding us together was my hand squeezing yours
Fallen snow, in front of us - Eternity, too fragile
It becomes a stain upon rough asphalt
Fallen snow, this heart that has transcended time is faltering
And yet, I want to continue to protect you
My bro and I just went on a piano-playing/guitar-strumming/song-singing spree.
Catharsis at its best.
When flowers gaze at you, they're not the only ones who cry

Amazing Grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
but now am found
Was blind
but now I see

Go DAP!!!
I have been caught up in a wave of post-election hope. We have a chance.
The opposition actually has a chance!!!
Can this be true? Unofficial reports are coming in that Tony Pua won. That Teresa Kok has won both Seputeh and Kinrara. That Koh Tsu Koon (MCA Penang Chief Minister) has lost. That the opposition has captured at least 17 out of 40 state seats in Penang.
Wow. I feel goosepimples. Could this actually be happening???
Vote for change!!!
Slightly high. Woohoo! ^^ Too high to blog coherently. Woohoo!
