Oh Noes what's happening in Heroes?!?!?!
Ok... before I go all thinky and verbose over yesterday's Heroes episode, I just want to say that I LOVE Sheldon from Big Bang Theory! He is SO adorably socially-challenged!
Now for Heroes. I really loved some parts of Episode 4. But some parts have such foreboding for future episodes that I am... a little scared and nervous about what is going to happen to my Precious Peter (and some other characters).
Things I liked:
1. Two Peters on screen at the same time!
*nosebleed* Haha. So super cool. And, haha. Milo had to go shirtless again in this episode. The writer's can't resist writing scenes where he has to be shirtless. :p I'm not complaining...
2. Matt and Daphne and Molly and new baby!
I thought this happy little family scenario was cute. Though it seems like Matt is WAAAY older than Daphne, I really liked their relationship and I really believed it. She's so spunky - even though she's supposedly "one of them" right now, I'm really liking her and she's definitely not evil, just misguided. Molly! Adorable. New baby! Super adorable. I liked their conversations... and the wordplay about her ability... that she needs to "slow down" and... at the end... that she "wasn't fast enough". I'm completely sold on this story line. More more more!
3. Hiro and Ando
I like how Hiro realised that he needed Ando's help and has only gotten this far with Ando's help. I like that Ando defended Hiro in front of manipulative Mama Petrelli (though Hiro deserved some scolding lah - he basically single-handedly delivered the formula into the enemy's hands).
Oh man I can't wait to find out why Sylar named his son after Mr Bennett and why he's living in Mr Bennett's house. And who's the mother?! (some ppl are speculating that it's Elle... hmm). It's kinda surreal, and I think they are redeeming him way too much, but I really enjoyed the sweet scenes between Sylar and Noah. And also, Sylar feeding Mr Muggles~! Ahaha adorable. Little Noah is a cutie!
Awww superman! Haha. I really like these two together. Tracy is more compelling a character than Nikki and the two of them have amazing chemistry together. Can't wait to see more!
Things I am torn about/don't like:
1. The revelation that Sylar was only evil coz of his power
I think this is a big cop out - too easy a way to redeem him. I can deal with the fact that they wanted to redeem him (and would've eventually redeemed him) coz Zachary Quinto is an amazing actor and coz Sylar has legions and legions of fans... but if this is completely true it implies that Peter, who is the heart of the show, who is the show's moral compass, can become as completely corrupted as Sylar. Which, in my heart of hearts I believe can never be true. It implies that essentially, Peter and Sylar are the same. This cannot be! Sylar's behaviour had to also be influenced by his own need to be SpEcIaL and also his general temperament which is obviously darker than Peter.
2. Peter slicing Nathan's head open
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. How is this even possible lah, tell me? The season 1 finale was centered around the bond between Peter and Nathan. I can conceive future Peter shooting Nathan... but I cannot conceive that present Peter would ever go as far as that. I know they are trying to show that Sylar's power comes with a "hunger that cannot be controlled"...... but still! Going way too far to prove their point man. Way too far. What are they doing to my poor Peter? Character assassination to the max!
I am so so worried for Peter right now. How is he going to deal with this "hunger"? OMG I hate that word already. GAH.
Okay. The negativity shall end here!
